Lina is an inspiration for people who don’t like exerciese. She works on problem areas which are common for seniors — balance and strength, but she also recognizes indivudual needs, such as back and shoulder/neck problems in my case. She’s cautious but encouraging, always pointing out the improvements I’ve made. Plus she tells me what area/muscle group we’re working on which helps me to focus. I’ve learned so much from her and she makes my workouts fun.

A few years ago I was diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy which is not currently treatable. As a result I have experienced increasing stability problems and leg weakness. My trainer has adjusted her methods and now even comes to our Senior Coop to work with me here in our exercise room. I have personal training with her 3 days a week and also see her weekly for her chair yoga class. I very much appreciate the way she skillfully but carefully challenges and encourages me. She always asks and pays close attention to how my body is responding. I now walk with a cane but without my trainer’s help I’m sure I would be in a wheelchair. I highly recommend her especially for working with seniors.

I am a senior and at this stage in my life it is important that my trainer works with me. She doesn’t push but encourages me to be better.  She listens to my ideas and is always looking for more fun and effective ways to structure my workouts.  She has patience and works to tailor my workouts to how I am feeling that day.  I have been working with my trainer for many years and would recommend her to anyone who would like to get back into shape and feel better.

It was a joy when Lina came to our Village CoOp to provide a stretch and tone class for the residents. I have been diagnosed with a multitude of health issues with the most recent being rheumatoid arthritis. Lina’s class has been a tremendous help to me. My flexibility and strength are always better for several days after her class. Thank you so very much.
